Kokatat has been manufacturing paddling apparel in Arcata, California for over 5 decades. With 1500 years of accumulative experience, these are some of the people who guarantee our quality.

Kokatat was founded in 1971 when Steve O’Meara found himself falling in love with the community and natural beauty of Arcata, California. It was then that he began to plant the seeds of our sustainable story.

Kokatat has one of the largest private solar arrays in Humboldt County. 132 solar panels produce about 26% of the power used in our factory annually. In 2015 we switched all of our factory lighting to LED cutting the energy used in half while reducing landfill impacts with much longer life bulbs.
