The Rod Rig™ was first dreamed up by Mark and Ethan of Primal Geometry, two fishermen who wanted a smarter way to carry their gear. They built it, tested it, and proved the idea worked, earning praise from anglers who saw the value right away. The team at Primal Geometry saw the potential and knew they needed some operational horsepower to get it to the finish line. With that, they partnered with Matt Beenen, an engineer, lifelong outdoorsman and established entrepreneur in the automotive industry.

Using the same core concept and feedback from those early customers, the Rod Rig™ was completely re-designed and re-released in Fall of 2025. Tougher, easier to use, more adjustable, and ready to help more anglers spend less time hauling gear and more time fishing.
